Updated: Sep 16, 2021

For the 1821-2021 Montgomery County Bicentennial each of the twenty towns in Montgomery County created a birthday cake for Montgomery County's birthday.

On Sunday May 16, 2021 I hit the trail to Walshville with Patty Whitworth and we gave them a hand creating the Walshville cake.

While in Walshville I snapped a few other photos.

Over the summer I'll be visiting some of the smaller communities in Montgomery County. Here's another photo I took yesterday in Walshville. The Walshville Baptist Church. Organized by Rev. Lynn Craig in 1819.

The former Walshville Illinois Post Office. Walshville is located in the Southwest corner of Montgomery County. According to Mayor Joy McDonald they expect the last census to show they have around 50 residents.
