The building at 107 S. Main / downtown Hillsboro was being extensively remodeled. When layers of the storefront were removed it exposed hand painted advertisements for Andrew Hartline's Shoe store.

Mary Hartline's Great Grandparents Andrew and Mary Hartline came to Hillsboro sometime right after the civil war ended. Andrew operated a shoe store on Main Street and later his son George worked in the store too. The shoe store building is currently being remodeled and it has exposed the windows from the Hartline Shoe Store with advertisements and pricing. This store was later Don Nichols abstract company and is located on the East side of the courthouse square.
