Friends of the Fellis family, operator of the Orpheum Theatre in Hillsboro for about 50 years, donated photos and documents to the Historical Society of Montgomery County on Monday, Sept. 8. After the death of Edward Fellis Wingler in November 2013, and his mother, Peggy Fellis Pink in 2002. Attorney Robert Guritz, his wife Jean, and Edward Wingler's personal assistant Sibyl Krucoff came from Evanston to make the donation.

The Fellis family bought the Orpheum Theatre in 1920 and operated for about 50 years. Ed Fellis went on to become an Illinois senator and his daughter, Peggy, was a high school teacher.
